UAE Healthcare Integration

NABIDH Integration Checklist for Dubai Healthcare Facilities

A practical planning guide for healthcare teams preparing EMR workflows, data quality and implementation governance.

NABIDH requirements and implementation scope can vary by facility and current authority guidance. Use this checklist to prepare for a structured discovery, not as a substitute for authority approval.

1. Define your facility scope

Document facility locations, clinical specialties, care settings, existing systems, patient volumes and the teams responsible for data governance. Confirm the current requirements that apply to your licence and implementation.

2. Assess data readiness

Map patient identity, encounter, allergy, diagnosis, medication, laboratory and clinical-documentation fields. Assign data owners and resolve duplicate, incomplete or inconsistent records before integration testing.

3. Review interoperability workflows

Identify the events your EMR must exchange, the source of truth for each field, exception handling, audit trails and user access controls. Test workflows with realistic scenarios, including corrections and downtime procedures.

4. Prepare security and governance

Confirm role-based access, audit logging, backup and recovery, staff training, change control and incident escalation. Keep a clear record of technical decisions and testing evidence.

5. Plan implementation and validation

Use phased milestones: discovery, configuration, data remediation, internal testing, authority-facing testing where required, training and go-live support. Final approval or certification is determined by the relevant authority and healthcare facility.
